*= (Many sites will also allow you to download low-res versions of their images to use in your "comp layout" (comprehensive layout- the thing you show the client). This is a sorta "try before you buy" approach. ) I recommend photodisc.com, eyewire.com, and comstock.com - try adding things to your "lightbox" and then showing a client.

Setting up your FTP connection in Dreamweaver:

From Dreamweaver, go to the Site menu, down to New Site

2. Leave "no server-side technology" checked. Hit next.
3. Leave first item selected- ("edit local copies on my machine, then upload.") Hit next.
*4. To define your site folder on your computer click the little folder picture at the bottom of this same window- if at home browse until you find the folder all your website files are in (it is recommended you make a dedicated folder for this). Hit next.
*5. Choose FTP for how you connect to remote server.

FTP address: softweb.jwu.edu
folder on server: web/yourloginname/
Username: yourloginname
Password: yournetworkpassword.

Test the connection the first time you set it up. Hit next.

6. Do not enable check-in, check out.
