Homework: Bring your Digital Camera and manual to class tomorrow if you have one- if not, no worries, we'll use the school Canons. If you have a camera phone bring that too!

Discussion of camera technical details. Here's a handout on some aspects of cameras.

n class- experimenting with Shutter Speed and Aperture (using University Canons)- taking photos (during class), uploading them to computer, discussing results.

You'll take the following photos while filling out the sheet about your camera's specs and the results of various settings.

Weds:

American Photo Documentary (part 3)

Homework: Digital Imaging tutorial. Bring your digital camera to class, with the cable you use to upload and a charged battery. Make sure you have a memory card in there.

Thursday

Taking the pictures mentioned on Tuesday.
Step 1. Fill in on this worksheet the answers to Question A in each category.
Step 2. Take the photos on this sheet.
Step 3. Upload them to the computer.
Step 4. Complete Question B in each section

Assignment 2 due on Tuesday! Get those photos printed :)

Homework for Monday: Bring in a photograph from a printed source such as a magazine or newspaper. Make it one that you have an emotional reaction to- it doesn't have to be aesthetically appealing to you.
